But not me I did not pause nor withdraw
I still waited
Drawing my breath on cheap tobacco

With money and promises I could not give
And she kissed them thrilled them
And I was left
With my soul as bruised as my heart…

The following Saturday at 3.00 p.m
I bumped into Football
And despite myself
Fell in love with her
All over again.
