Martin Luther King jr
Should have played football
And his vision
Would have found life upon the pitch
Or streets or walls
Where children play the beautiful game
And he could have thrilled the crowds
Just the same
But instead of words he would have used
Mazy runs, precise passes that did not linger
But drove his points home in
The merging colours of a beautiful goal…
That was his dream.
