The Pitch

Players running through the pitch,
The game is going without a hitch.
West Ham are scoring another goal,
Tonight they’re like fire burning on coal.
Fans are screaming, chortling and laughing,
When I get home mum says I’ll need a good bathing.
I love West Ham they’re great woo hoo!
I’m ten years old but mum says I act twenty-two.
When West Ham lose all the men scream
and most of them turn really mean.
But that’s not me I’m happy and glad
Until the streaker comes on and gets mum mad
“Cover your eyes” she says “don’t look don’t see”,
But that doesn’t seem to bother me.
Half time’s over the game is on,
West Ham are winning 2-1.
Before I know it the game is over, West Ham has won and everyone knows that they are number one!
