1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 the game tonight
against the best in our league
they won 12-1
but its not the score that bothers me

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 my playing was off
my shots didn’t go in
but that was not
entirely my fault.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 our outfield was good
battling through the rain
our keeper was strong
making save after save

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 but we have one player
who is a phenomenal one
but who just cannot see it
who thinks she is none

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 and this is what does
bother me after a loss
i try and try to encourage
but often get brought up short

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 a team is a team
not different players each time
we all have bad weeks
but no one needs to quit.

Notes

i don’t particularly want any of our players on the team to quit, but especially some. a team is the side that it starts off as, and as we learn, lose and win together….we get a lot stronger. no team changes will help this, everyone has an off day. and the fact that it was pouring with rain didn’t help anyone’s visibility, we did just fine!
