sometimes I’ve been heard to scream
“please just pass the ball !!”

we can’t pass like others can
with the skill we have?

Notes

*Plan B : After the match, ironically – we drove back home from Bath to Stroud down the old A46 ,and met all the ‘Plan B’ headlight-dazzling crowd-vehicles coming out in their thousands from the gig at Westonbirt Arboretum.Lucky them….but where was our Plan B ?

When i got home i read the last two chapters of ‘Adventures of A Waterboy’ by Mike Scott. A must-read and great yarn for those who love life, music and playing with passion.

**Thank you also to Mabel (our mad labradoodle ‘sister’ in Bath) for not watching but actually playing better in the front room than England did and big thanks to Mat, Debra, Zac, Freya and Jennie for the cheering, wise football improvement suggestions, lush food and for reminding me how many times I said: “…but we we started great. ”

Sorry, too many haikus I know…quantity v quality etc;
Point taken, but as a wise squirrel once allegedy said – or was it Basho? :

there is nothing like
writing haikus when you’re down
just to clear the head
