1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 The day history was made.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 We sat down, expecting annihilation
what we got was anticipation
Basler strikes from a free kick…
Schmeichel the victim of a cunning nick..

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 The boys in Red battle on
half time arrives, with no English song.
the Germans are bellowing loud
the Camp Nou is a divided crowd.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Out they come for the second half
again, the Germans are having a laugh
United fans watch in their seats
as their heroes face the foe they must beat

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Out come Bayern, all guns blazing
their country’s reputation they are saving
Scholl forces a save, Jancker hits the post
The Reds are lucky not to be pot roast..

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 Into the 90th minute, the fear of all fears
Some fans are in tears
United win a corner
could this be the final charge?

7 Leave a comment on verse 7 0 Becks whips in the corner
Yorke and Schmikes become less shorter
The ball falls to Giggs, he takes a shot
Substitute Sheringham buries the lot

8 Leave a comment on verse 8 0 The Bayern players curse
nothing could be worse
It is the ultimate fine
will they play extra time?

9 Leave a comment on verse 9 0 Another corner for United
in it goes, underrated
Sheringham to Solskyaer, one almighty scream
this could only be a dream…

10 Leave a comment on verse 10 0 No, it’s real alright
the Reds have shown their might
from the jaws of defeat, they snatch victory
and now, it’s treble Glory

11 Leave a comment on verse 11 0 Parading the cup around
they celebrate on that hallowed ground
the Germans fell to the late English raid
this was truly the night history was made.
