1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Finally.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Capello saw reason
Saw James’s lack of skill
And put Greeno in the goal
Although it mightn’t have been his will.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 And what a blinder
That great man played
His eyes like a hawk
As the crowd waved.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 James’s fumble
Spain’s first goal
Was utterly pointless
That man is a fool.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Now let’s hope and pray
Our man keeps his spot
That he’s so rightly deserved
James can go to pot!

Notes

weird phrase at the end there – my dear mother always says it *rolls eyes* and well, it rhymed!

gutted i missed most of the game, but i got to see James’s worst fumbles and Spain’s opening goal, and for a couple of minutes see the genius of Carlton Cole and Wright-Phillips

just keep Green in the goal! surely he’s proved his worth by now
this is what me and Non have waited for for months on end
