The sponsorship deal now in place
Seems the image said bank is pursuing
Will be one of getting distance from the archaic F.A.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Is it the greed is good salaries and bonus’s
Or the way that the lads can often behave
When Saturday comes with the onus
On I’m stinking rich so we’ll do things my way.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Maybe it’s the high charges to the consumer,
Or the customer as we used to be called
That spiral out of control like a bad rumour
Every season with no given reason at all.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Could it be the total disrespect for authority
Or well documented sexist and racist abuse
Where members of any given minority
Are passed over for promotion by the suits.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Is it that in these times of austerity
With families right under the financial cosh
Barclays Bank see’s these extortionate salaries
Being paid to team members, as unrealistic and gross?

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 Maybe it’s the drug abuse, drinking,
Excessive gambling, and cheating
Barclays Bank has seen fit to abhor.

7 Leave a comment on verse 7 0 Yet the examples given in this ranting
Tell that me football and banking
Are a perfect match (sic) made in heaven
Well versed in flouting and breaking the law.
