That the referees do miss
I suppose we’ll get reams of lame excuses
To explain a gaff like this

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Yer man had scored the winner
He ran toward the pews
To acolyte’s who worshipped him
Adorned in sacred Blue

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 He hugged and loved the moment
To milk it for a while
He’s had a quiet bad time of late
With injuries to his style

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 The team all gathered round him
To share the joy with fans
Then lo behold, by red card law
He’s banished neath the stands

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Them Blue boys can’t believe it
Reduced by one to ten
Tis backs to the wall till full time came
As Robben sadly exits game

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 Did the referee actually see such glee
T’was no abuse or hurt
Or is there some sort of conspiracy afoot
Against those who wear Blue shirts?

7 Leave a comment on verse 7 0 Andy Gray can’t fathom it out
Nor can M.O.D
Can someone out there fill us in
Just what wrong it is he did?
