A Fine Whine!

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 This constant whining and whinging
Is ruining our thing, that cup final a point in case
I’m not really a fan of big monetary fines
Cos they all seem to do it again

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Personal hearings seem stupid
Three match suspensions the same
Insulting the ref and his cohorts in black
Never changed the result of a game

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 I’d say I’m as guilty as the next fan
Of questioning Graham Poll’s birth
As for Mike Riley’s eyes? I can’t tell a lie
There’s jokes about those, plain perverse

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 I think that we need a solution
Before our discipline goes to the wall
It’s high time we docked points, end of season
For teams with most red cards, out of all

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Just one club missing out
On a Champions league spot
Or a place in a European cup
Might bring these managers and pugs to their senses*
Whilst keeping their north and souths shut!*

Notes

The evening paper, in London this week, has been full of this kinda stuff about who should be banned or who was wrongly accused, you know what? Who cares?

I’m the first bloke who should shut his mouth about ref’s and stuff.

But ain’t it getting completely out of order and putting another load of pressure on ref’s that they or us, the fans, don’t really need, when you hear managers (ours is as bad as any of them) slagging off officials?

A bloke lieing about an incident, and a bloke who never, actually, saw an incident are surely two different things? Talk about the pot calling the kettle black?

I’ve a feeling that docking points might be the only way to restore some sort of order to the proceedingd.

Are you gonna fine, lets for arguments sake say, Frank Lampard twenty grand, give him a three match suspension for having a tear up with Cesc Fabregas? Peanuts! But a suspension and points deducted at the end of the season, that determines who goes into Europe or wins our domestic league, might just make him and other like him, think for a minute before ranting, raving and putting their hands up.

The same should apply to the manager, as well, if he’s constantly in trouble with the refs? Touchline bans and points deducted at the end of the season.

Rant over
