A Mother’s Dilemma!

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Our young one indoors is sure to be sad
His feelings are gonna be hurt
Searched as hard as we could do, me and his dad
For a San Marino football shirt

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Liverpool, Chelsea or Man Yoo Sa
Arsenal, Tottenham or Leeds
All of these colours might be, for some others okay
But a San Marino’s shirt’s what he needs

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Where did he see them, this team he supports
He’s gagging to go’an watch them play
I’ve just been on e-bay as our one last resort
For a San Marino shirt for Christmas Day

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 It could have been worse in ending this verse
I’ve just bagged a shirt and he’s smiling
The second favourite team that live large in his dreams?
Are a country that’s called… Faroe Islands

Notes

In the mayhem of last minute Christmas shopping yesterday,in London’s Piccadilly, this came to me, what if one of the youngsters indoors wants what all the major stores can’t give him or her,a shirt from one of the lesser known clubs or countries, what do you do? Pray, e-bay?

Do any of you out there remember when we all had a “second team”, whose fortunes, we followed? Mine was …Raith Rovers. Dunno why.

Peace And Goodwill.

Kev.
