A New Dawn

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 The ghosts groan and yawn
Brush the dust of yesterdays
Off each sallow smile
And gaze down from the wall

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 The silver glistens
Almost gold but not quite
Each old dream struggles
Staggers drunkenly into life

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 “Great day to be alive boys
All you need is the green grass
and a ball…”

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 “Mind you we had a bad year once,
We finished second…”

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 “4th place is not acceptable for
Liverpool Football Club…”

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 Immaculate red shirts
Hanging by the thread
Of immortality
And the Kop begins to sing……
