A New World Cup

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 What a brilliant idea,
Who thought up these new rules,
Playing this new type of game,
With a ball and shirt as tools.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 1 A mixed game of football and rugby,
And an added tug of war,
With shirts you can get to grips with,
Then being wrestled to the floor.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 I had never thought of stamping,
or being kicked and sometimes tripped,
Then to add an elbow when it counts,
To thicken someone’s lips.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 I’ve played some football and rugby too,
But never both together,
Do you think it might catch on one day,
And then go on for ever?

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 We’d best make sure everyone knows the rules,
Just to make it all fair play,
So judging can be seen by all,
And they get it right, on the day.

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 Geoff. Tabrah.
