A Prayer ForThe ‘Tic

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Our Saint Brother Walfrid
He knelt down on his knees
And sent up a prayer
For the emerald green
He was sick of the huns
And the sight of the blue
He needed a sign that
Their championship days were through
Now God in His mercy
He heard Walfrid’s plea
And He decided to act
He must intervene
There were noveena’s from the tims
Aye a letter or two
From the gallowgate faithful
For the green and white hoops
To the ‘Tic it was answered
And a day for our dreams
When a man came from Leicester
The Bhoy Martin O’Neill
The Treble he brought us
And the huns how they howled
And Big Jock he just smiled
He’s still smiling now.
