A Premierless Easter

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 how strange to have Easter
without a big game
there are some who would argue
the World Cup’s the same

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 and call me old fashioned
nostalgic and daft
but I feel like a paddle
in search of a raft

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 thank god for the children
with chocolate galore
and a break from the stress
at the top – such a bore

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 for I’ll wistfully smile
while they rip open boxes
and prefer they seek eggs
than go hunting for foxes

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 and you’re welcome to vist
I won’t be in bed
I’ll be dreaming of titles
out back – in my shed

Notes

Byron eat your heart out..i mean eggs actually!!
