A question for the referee

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 One thing that always puzzles me,
Has to do with why the referee,
Blows for half time then asks for the ball,
When its probably not the one they played with at all.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 I noticed young Rooney after scoring three goals,
Ran up to the ref ‘cause he wanted the ball,
The ref didn’t give it and poor Wayne looked upset,
But it was probably three different balls that rattled the net.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Years ago when the ball was like lead,
You could waste time by kicking the ball to row Z,
But now there’s no point as everything’s fine,
‘Cause there are lots of balls waiting when it crosses the line.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 So if the ball’s never lost and is constantly changing,
Why does the referee bother trying to take it ?
