A Quiet Moving Spectacle!

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 When the inspiring national anthems are played
Prior to the start of each match
The camera slowly moves along the length of each team
Filming in song all the chaps

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 The mike picks up who’s miming, who’s voice is whining
The quivering lip that won’t budge
Next time you listen to “God Save The Queen” or the like
Set yourself up as a judge

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 The fans are often “The Twelfth Man”
With passionate voices they raise
Each time that their national team take to the field
Tis indeed a shame in such an emotional game
That some of our player are staid?

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Watch for example some of the South American sides
Hand on hearts united as one
Where all of the teams voice booms out loudly en masse
Across German green fields in the sun

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 It’s sure moving to see and I’m sure you’d agree
That such national pride’s no flickering flame
All round the World our game bonds all kinds of people
No matter from where’est they came!
