A Slight Consolation

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 The rest of the League is chuffed to bits
To see us take so many hits.
Linfield, Bohs and Cork and Derry –
Everybody’s making merry.
Shels are gone and Shels are finished,
Shels have seen their powers diminished.
We’re like a dog that’s had its day,
Who’ll very slowly fade away.
They’re thrilled at every game we’ve lost,
And love to watch us count the cost,
But as they write our epitaph,
Erm, Champions League?
We’re having a laugh.
