A Test Of Real Loyalty.

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 The multitudes are gathered there
With expectancy in the air
Space is at a premium
In the pent up atmosphere

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 That bit of stand that you command
Is vital for the view
As you cling on to the barrier like life itself
With the other sodden fools

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 As your woollen scarf is leaden
With aqua from the sky
Rain runs from your glistening hair
To blur expectant eyes

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Your arms are pinned tight to your side
Your feet are soaking wet
The seats look so inviting
A look is all you’ll get

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 A programmes in your pocket
Dry deep inside your coat
The chance that you’ll read it today?
Pretty damn remote

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 The h2o turns into snow
As the cold turns your face blue
A bovril would warm the cockles of your heart
But your terrified to move

7 Leave a comment on verse 7 0 Jokes are cracked about the madness of it all
As the elements teem down
A witticism brings a dour smile to your face
From a soaking terrace clown

8 Leave a comment on verse 8 0 The flloodlights kindly tell you
How much sleet is tipping down
As the groundsman clear the touchlines
To prepare the sodden ground

9 Leave a comment on verse 9 0 You’d clap your hands and blow on them
If you could wrestle them from your sides
The feeling that you had in them
Has disappeared, besides

10 Leave a comment on verse 10 0 As you look toward the tunnel
Your reasons all appear
Just why it is your standing here
Bordering on tears

11 Leave a comment on verse 11 0 The pitch reflects the dazzling light
From the puddles that have formed
Your heartbeat has increased tenfold
Suddenly…..your warm

12 Leave a comment on verse 12 0 As the heavens fall
On the heaving thrall
The steam starts to ascend
Tis then and only then my son
True fans stay to the end

Notes

When yer sitting there all comfy in yer expensive seats and moaning, think of how much worse off you used to be in the “Good Old Days”?

When true fans used to put up with all the above for the team that they loved!

peace.

kev.
