A White Knuckle Ride

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 It’s been said before and I must concur
Watching the Shots is a roller coaster
A white-knuckle ride, not for faint hearted
There’s no going back once we’ve started

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 We lurch down with our hearts on the floor
Oh what we’d give for a player who can score
Things can’t get worse, and then they do
It seems eleven players are making their debut

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Then we race skywards like a screaming jet
Everything we try hits the back of the net
We are on fire and we start to fly
Like beating Woking and it’s live on Sky

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 But we at the Shots are loyal supporters
We treat triumph and disaster as two impostors
We don’t wear glasses with a rosy tint
We know it’s a marathon, not a sprint

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 We realise things are not always splendid
The pre-season didn’t go as we had intended
So when it doesn’t go according to plan
We know the fans need to be the twelfth man

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 So lets get behind the red n blue
As the lady once said “Lets be ‘aving you”
We know it’s never boring watching our side
Strap yourself in, it’s gonna be one helluva ride

Notes
