Players shine through a dark winters night
Setting the stadium alight,
For Liverpool fans it is a wonderful site
Although the score was very tight.

The crowd sing You’ll Never Walk Alone
With one voice singing proud and true,
Now there is no need to moan
For we are no longer feeling blue.

The red flag flies high
As high as it has ever been,
The night fades, left to die
Along with the best game I have ever seen.

In our Anfield church we dwell
The biting wind freezing us all,
Remembering the players that did well
Leaving the fans to feel ten feet tall.
