Advice for Capello on goalkeepers

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Carson’s being chucked in the end, deep,
and the pressure upon him is overly heaped,
he has a mountain to climb that’s way too steep,
He’s one for the future, for now let him sleep.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Kirkland is tall but has powder for bones,
also a little accident prone,
It’s best, for now, to just leave him alone,
right now, not the man to be England’s own.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 David James, now he is fine,
he’s hit good form, made saves sublime,
personally not a favourite of mine,
putting him in your squad hasn’t been a crime.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 BUT

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Why do they all ignore Rob Green?
He’s got to be the best on the Premiership scene,
The only good player in the West Ham team,
Give him a chance and he’ll keep a sheet, clean.

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 You can have Manuel Almunia in a year,
He keeps everything out with no fear,
Wants to play for England from what I hear,
He could have a great international career.

Notes

for the record if i were picking the 3 keepers for the england squad, it would be:

1)Rob Green – why he has only one cap for a friendly i honestly cannot fathom
2)Manuel Almunia – I don’t care if he is Spanish, grandparents rule’s been going long enough.
3) David James – for now, hit a run of good form, be stupid not to take advantage of that.
