Ah, It’s Only A Bad Dream…..Innit?

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Waking up in a bit of a quandry
From wherever it was, I had been
I felt sure I’d heard Roman Abramovich
Swear, he’d be flogging our team.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 What would we do on a Saturday, man
Now this oiligarch said he was through
Where would Burberry blokes and beer bellyed fans
Pass out at three quarters past two?

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 I dreamt that me seat woz cheap plastic
And me pert derriere didn’t fit
Both me feet were set off at these fantastic
Different angles, such comfort for two score or more quid

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 I screamed out in pain, as peeved punters
Insisted on invading the pitch
Where historically our board, made huge blunders
And well dodgy chairman got rich.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Fans in me dream were some what put out
With programmes at nearly a jacks
Then reality kicked in “With Kev it’s four quid
They’ve only raised them a nicker, relax”.

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 Drunk punters threw up in the carzies
Hand soap and towels were a dream from the past
“Oi mate there’s no water I can’t wash me hands”
I called out to a steward, who looked at me, as if I was daft.

7 Leave a comment on verse 7 0 A mass of blue shirts woz descending
Down tight exit ways unable to cope
Whilst stadium tannoys gave out an ear bending
On ticket prices, of next game at home.

8 Leave a comment on verse 8 0 Our club shop had run out of replica shirts
Extra large, being the unobtainable size
To cover up beerguts of those, who’d had too many sherbets
You’ve seen them, they ate all the gristle filled pies.

9 Leave a comment on verse 9 0 It’s amazing I remember the verses above
As I rarely recall any dreams
Is this a nightmare, about to descend on me club
Or is it a reality, that could apply, to most of the premiership teams?

Notes

This is not just about, having a pop at my club, but most clubs in general.
It’s also about all the bits that the glossy football magazines and ultra informative television programmes don’t or won’t dare show about our beautiful game, and the way the people who run it, treat it’s loyal and fanatic followers. One of which I consider myself.

peace
