Ah Well…..It Is Early Doors?

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Though “early doors” we’ll need much more
I say this not in jest.
Up-coming World Cup games, will need new hungry “names”
Hearts bursting from proud chests.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Up front we’re clearly lacking
A new game plan is sought
One man on his own alone
Ain’t how, the English love their favoured sport.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 One or two must leave us
Retired to pastures new
Not good enough is no excuse
A new burst of hungry youth is due.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Bright new suits on the touchline
For those subbed at the break
Might be a start in much respect
For strict Italian guv’nor, from big ego and his mates.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 “Ours is the best league, by miles, on this planet”
Butch Wilkins proudly said last night
Right on Butch, you’re spot on son
But sadly, best players in this league’s that’s where it’s at
……Ain’t all wearing red and white!

Notes

As a paying punter who watches some cracking young players setting the Premiership alight most week-ends. I have to say, that I feel it’s time for an injection of hungry fresh talent to be let off the leash, out on to the pitch and be allowed to have a go at doing the business of playing top notch International football.

I’m mentioning no names, but even in the non-event of the game versus France, last night, there were clearly a few ego’s who were not up to the job of busting a gut for their country, and sadly for Fabio, never will be.

Change is exciting and well…overdue. Match an exciting new era and manager, with young hungry new players, and off we jolly well go.

Simple or what? I should have been a manager!
