All In A Days Work!

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 In a violent goal mouth scramble
Where lesser men had been fraught
He stuck out a foot and knocked it in
To make the score one naught

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 That late tackle was a crunching blow
To the high of finding the net
But when you go in there where it hurts you kinda know
That’s what you’re gonna get

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 His team mates helped him to his feet
He thanked them all to a man
Then milked the applause from the fans in the seats
As his name was sung out in the stands

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 The match became much more vicious
As the full time whistle came
Opponents got quite malicious
As they tried hard to win the game

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 A sly kick when ref were blindside
A dig in the ribs when corners came
It’s awful hard to go and hide
When others are trying to maim

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 At last! The final whistle came as home fans went berserk
The young forward who had knocked it in
Looked down at bruised ankles and bleeding shins
Thought to himself as he forced out a grin
“Now that’s what I call a days work”!
