Anfield, Sea Of Red

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Majestic seas lapped
At the gates of heaven here
The waves sang to each
Other like scouse mermaids
Jostling in the water
And the Great Ship
Whose topsails grazed
The face of God
Pushed grandly on
And with a heave ho
Threw us up with a passion
Of glory into the Kop.

Notes

“I was born by the banks of the Mersey
Facin’ the Irish Sea
It might not look like heaven to you
But its home sweet home to me”
