Annie’s Tanka 695

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 A new little bird
Joins the growing family.
A Lancashire Lass.
And an ear swallowing smile
Lights up all our proud faces

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 I can see you now
Alongside your big brother.
Your dad will have bought
You a Burnley shirt to match
Those he and your brother wear.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 A triumvirate,
A proud father and his kids
In claret and blue.
Turf Moor you may never see,
But you’ll remember the shirt

Notes

For our brand new grandaughter
