1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Dare we go through it again?
The transfer-market heartbreak,
players lost to leeches
who would happily forsake,
the mighty, mighty Arsenal,
and the Champions league –
it’s for mere Manchester City,
that our players take their leave.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Dare we go through it again?
after four barren years of hurt,
the prospect of no silverware,
or by mid-season being inert.
And players succumbing
to injury and loss,
or else, inexplicably
dropped by the boss.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 We dare simply because
we have no choice – we must,
for we are loyal fans and
in Arsene we trust.
To deliver us from evil,
to win and win some more,
and, the most important thing,
to replace Adebayor.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 We’ve won not a lot since 2005,
discounting 2 Emirates Cups,
we’ve won not a lot, that it true,
but that dire spell is up.
I’ve said it before and
I’ll say it again, I’ve said it many a year,
but 09/10 is starting soon
and Arsenal have nothing to fear.
