The stage is set
Before mid-November
You must place your bet

Awaiting the final countdown
Five will go home, five are
Portugal bound

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 The Three Lions are through
One of the British teams
They drew a Turkey and fulfilled
Their Euro 2004 dreams

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 And who are left to qualify
But Scotland and Wales
On those mid-November nights
Glued to the telly, lots of Brits
Will be biting their nails

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 The draw could have been better,
Very very much
The Scots drew the Ruskies
And the Welsh drew the Dutch

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 So what happens now?
The Welsh have to find a point
When they go to Moscow

I wish them luck
The only way they’ll beat Holland
Is if the color Orange self-destructs
