Arriverderci Super Mario.

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 His wiring was definitely dodgy
Some of his antics insane
Some Saturday nights, three cocky ex pros
Often questioned Man Cini for playing him.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Yet those beautiful moments he gave City fans
Eclipsed what three know-nothings say
Doing their business, he was deemed Super-Mario
Whilst forever those moments remain.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Of course there were off the ball incidents
Or his vest pleading: “Why always me?”
Forgotten in an instant, as a touch of his brilliance
Caused The Etihad backs to believe.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 When a title tilt turns to reality
In that last minute way like it did
You’d even forgive – three ex pros on M of the Day
Their monosyllabic taking the Mick.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Re-counting good fortune and days of great joy
Are a lifeblood to true loyal fans?
So when pundits are taking cheap shots at our boy
We’re stood up in defence to a man/woman.

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 We’ve too many players passing the ball
As opponents shadows come near
How fitting City, had a run with it star to enthral
Like a Rodneeeeee, in their triumphant year?

7 Leave a comment on verse 7 0 Some people deemed him as lazy
Some people questioned his worth to the team
But then some people never go crazy
What truly horrible lives they must lead?

Notes

City came to The Bridge in their title winning year, and Balotelli took us apart on his own, on another day (by taking more care in front of goal) him and his partner up front could well have had the points in the bag by half-time, he was that good we couldn’t even get near him.

I know there was other stuff, but if Mourinho gave up on this bloke, that tell’s me he (Balotelli) was / is a one off, and a genuis, which cannot be harnessed within the team ethic sometimes, but so what, it’s still genius and should be lauded should it not?

So I for one will miss him.

Carefree…….

Go well and be lucky.

Peace.

Kev.
