bad form

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 “I’ll go home and kick the cat –
named ‘referee’!”
so quotes teed off boss
for whom defeat and decisions – disagree

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 A sure fire pen
was plain ignored
and the arbiter cared not
how much they implored

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 and so kitty must hide
from baldy coot
to escape the swing
of baleful boot!

Notes

Direct quote from Bristol City gaffer Gary Johnson, after his side lost in the FA Cup 3rd round to Portsmouth.

Blatant penalty denied – Peter Crouch juggled the ball with both arms when defending a corner, cleared the ball, then raced upfield and netted the ensuing cross!

No wonder Gary Johnson was so upset in post match interviews.

The same night, Howard Webb took a lot of stick for his part in the Wolves v Brum cup tie.

He manfully admitted later (after reviewing tv footage) – that he turned down a legitimate pen for Brum.

And apologised for getting in the way when diverting a Jaidi pass into the path of a Wolves player – they broke and scored.

But in my opinion – Jaidi’s pass wasn’t the best and Howard could hardly get out of the way.

It’s not as if he isn’t conspicuous enough!

Double negative :

Defeat.
Followed by defeat.
A loss of form
Unfortunately, becoming the norm
