Before every match …

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Before every match,
Every fan,
Those who faithfully attend
Boro’s every match, home and away
The season ticket-holders
To armchair supporters
Perform a ritual.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Before every match,
I always wear my 10 year old lucky socks.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Before every match,
I always wear my lucky Y-fronts,
It’s never let me down.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Before every match,
I always have beans on toast
With greasy fried eggs.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Before every match,
I have a cup of tea
In my lucky chipped mug.

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 Before every match,
I always have a pint
And spill half of it.

7 Leave a comment on verse 7 0 Before every match,
I always have a Paratha
With a mug of tea,
If something strong is required
I reach for a cup of black coffee.

8 Leave a comment on verse 8 0 At Cardiff City Stadium
Boro has chance to reclaim the top spot,
But for
Before this match,
I’ll have a Punjabi Paratha
Wearing my Boro shirt,
What will you Do?
