The Daily Mail is cross with him, this black ungrateful pup
Born and raised in Birmingham, Great Britain
They were at a loss what to do with him, as he was growing up
Spent some time in institutions, as was fittin’

And all who bow and curtsey to the throne
Rastafarians from Jamaica or born right here in Peckham
Are proud to call this Rasta man their own

As rap musician and poet Benjamin has made his name
A man, like the words he uses, wild and free
A man who, like his ancestors, the Empire couldn’t tame
A man who doesn’t need an OBE.
