Best outpaced Banks

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 VHS VIDEO about goalkeepers
has shown one disallowed goal
who was especially tricky
and I would say
picky for the anthologists

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 The actors-football players
in Oscar wining style were
Gordon Banks and George Best

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 They both should have been proud
of this universal buzz

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 The Tom and Jerry show on
the football pitch in which
Gordon Banks had to have been Tom
and in which George Best
had to have been Jerry

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 But the referee disallowed Tom and Jerry Goal
The referee disallowed the goal
The referee disallowed the fun

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 This goal or this disallowed goal
could have been performed
in the Theatre

7 Leave a comment on verse 7 0 We need Three actors and
some football grass and goal
on the stage and Gwyneth Paltrow
saying to someone
“MASTEEER SHAKESPEARE”

Notes

Wikipedia:On 15 May 1971,Best scored possibly the most famous goal of his career at Winsdor Park in Belfast against England. As Gordon Banks the English goalkeeper released the ball in the air in order to kick the ball downfield,Best managed to kick the ball first, which sent the ball over their heads and heading towards the open goal.Best outpaced Banks and headed the ball into the empty goal, but, although legal, the goal was disallowed by referee Alistair MacKenzie.
