It’s got to be Ray Clemence
Sing the scousers on the Kop.

Proclaim the spurs fans at White Hart Lane
With the biggest and safest hands in football
Even better than Man Utds great dane.

David Seaman is easily the best
A much better goalie than Jennings
And head and shoulders above all the reat.

Flying through the air like an acrobat
So athletic with those feline reflexes
That’s why he was nicknamed the Cat.

The most capped keeper of all time
Now if he aint voted at number one
There’s no justice, it’s gotta be a crime.

Notes

I hope my choice of Gordon Banks is approved by most fans, I am old enough to have seen him play many times, and it was a toss up between him, and Peter Shilton, but I think Banks just about edges it.
