Bill Nick, RIP

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 There’s silence
And then there’s silence

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Those sixty seconds
Of absolute stillness –
Such complete absence of sound
Were but an inkling
Of the veneration
And esteem
Toward the much loved
Modest man –
The true heart and soul
And real guiding force
Of the Glory Glory Spurs
Double Winning team

Notes

dedicated to Bill Nicholson, 1919 – 2004

Died 23/10/2004
A poignantly observed minutes silence was held that afternoon
at the Spurs v Bolton match at
Bill’s beloved White Hart Lane.
