Billy Liddell

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 He joined the reds at 17
A boy of tender years
His legend burns a blazing light
For those who worship here
He’d race the flanks down either side
His heart flew like the wind
And once he put a hat trick past
The might of Frankie Swift
His shots from boots of thunder
His passes heaven sent
His pace would blister through the field
A boxer’s will and strength
Through clinging mud through gales and rain
His soul would never flinch
He’d fly through all defences and
A haul of goals he’s clinch
And still today his spirit shines
True heroes now so few
By Grace of God King of the Wings
