Five minutes from half time
A just reward
For the team’s work
I nearly spilt my wine.

A minute from half time’s whistle,
Monsieur Wenger
He looked a sight
As though he’d swallowed a thistle.

How on earth did he miss it?
A great save from Jussi
A let off for Bolton
And Robert will want to forget it.

There clearly should be no confusion
He should have been booked
Or maybe a card
He’s better off playing Rugby Union.

We could see that the Gunners were rattled
As they struggled to cope,
Defence, what defence
And Arsenal were truly embattled.

They know on this game much is riding

And skill they possess
As they don’t want to get a good hiding.

They’re wondering who needs to be rested
Then Peddy comes on
As JJ goes off
They’re trying hard not to be bested.

From ten yards outside of the area
A good Jussi save
And the Whites breathe again
The tension does really get to ya.

11 Leave a comment on verse 11 0 The ref blows the whistle, and Bolton have won
And as for the points, the Whites got all.
An excellent game
Played with spirit and fire,
A bloody good advert for football.

I’ve criticised hard, and with reason

Into Coca-Cola next season.
