Notes

Chelsea 4 Reading 2. Thanks for pointing out the spooky coincidences.
Eden (not Mickey ) Hazard goes down again for a penalty and Ivanovic scores twice in a few days. Can they make it 3 in a row? In the end for all the late dominance they just about scraped home by the skin of their teeth, but hey look how Man City struggled on the weekend against fellow newcomers Saints and United too. Don’t you love early season games? Never let us get drawn into goal-fest expectations and never let us under-estimate those retuning to the Premiership’s ever mysterious fold. What a great fight and performance from would be party-poopers Reading and Southampton though.

Always loved telling people I was doing a reading in Reading. A brilliant comuniity club. I loved working there with the kids. They lost their Study Support Centre, then so ably run by Jennie, like so many clubs. Seems like education, education, education has been replaced by even more merchandise, merchandise, merchandise everywhere.
