1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 passion hangs like clouds
on the street and in the ground
expectation soars

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 in this special place
where big smiles hide such hard lives
football lives and breathes

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 ev’ry time they play
fans by screens and sets will throng
right across the land

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 sea of yellow shirts
cardboard cut-out sunflowers
backdrop to it all

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 bigged up over-hyped…
on their shoulders in their eyes
you can feel the fear

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 César Luiz Marcello
anthems sung with heart and soul
as a country waits

7 Leave a comment on verse 7 0 teasing us again
in this noisy carnival
do we ask too much?

8 Leave a comment on verse 8 0 wave on wave they come
only one thought in their heads
win win win Brazil!

9 Leave a comment on verse 9 0 like some half-penned book
still no finished article
this script will need work

10 Leave a comment on verse 10 0 picked apart like peas
in this golden waiting bowl…
poor old Cameroon

11 Leave a comment on verse 11 0 marching on they go
driven by that Samba vibe
yet to really shine

12 Leave a comment on verse 12 0 as the advert goes
like that TV song they sing
“Bra-zil…Bra-zil…..”

13 Leave a comment on verse 13 0 unconvinced but through
poor mistakes there at the back
they’ll face sterner tests

14 Leave a comment on verse 14 0 in the end it’s clear
even though they’re not their best
who will stop Brazil?

I’ve kept this football and fan based.

Don’t get me started on the money aspect of it , the conditions for the poor in Brazil…and FIFA (Failing In Football Always).

Is there a worldwide petition to get Sepp out? Not that they’d listen.
