Brazil v Colombia. (Post-match Interviews)

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 “Phil at what point did you think you’d win?
“About a year ago I think?”
“Come on Phil you’re jesting
A year ago are you sure?”
Yes though I’m not sure I should tell you this
But….. even then I knew the score.”

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 “Jose any thoughts on the game tonight
That on reflection you might have changed?”
“Yes. Had I known we’d partake in a bar-room fight
I’d have given gloves to some of my players”

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 “But you must be disappointed Jose
So near and yet so far”
“No. The referee will be disappointed I’d say
In forgetting to bring his cards.”

Notes

Oh dear. I believe certain Brazilian players could have committed serious injury out there tonight (as well as the GBH the referee chose to ignore) and got away with it. Five minutes injury time? Just as Columbia were in the ascendency. What’s that all about? It took longer than that to get Nay Ma and his hairdresser off the pitch did it not.

The best player of the tournament by far (James) and surely one of the better teams Columbia. Have been literally kicked out of the World Cup, live on telly, as my conspiracy theory gathers even more momentum.

The brilliant Jose Peckerman, like myself though as a fan, must be absolutely gutted.

Stay well, be lucky and keep smiling.

Peace.

Kev.
