Brentford 2-2 Chelsea

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Griffin Park
Like a second home
‘Tis often there
That we roam

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Friendly neighbours
From just down the road
But today no welcome
In their abode

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 “Dance like a butterfly,
Sting like a bee”
But these ain’t no giants,
No Muhammed Ali

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 But sting they did
And drew blood
Fought us hard
In the mud

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 The Bees buzzed
On a pitch so sticky
The fancy dans
Far too picky

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 Superstar status
And all our money –
Just couldn’t stifle:
Their goals like honey

FA CUP 4th round

Bees v Blues

I’m not the only one who often went to watch the Bees when the Blues were away.

And being a local lad, playing for Hampton Hill Celtic, we were unofficially the Brentford junior team for a while, with Bees legend Jackie Graham coaching us.

1-0 Trotta
1-1 Oscar
2-1 Forrester (pen)
2-2 Torres ! (end of another drought – but how long to the next one?)

Ballboys all behaved themselves today!
