1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Maybe we’ve done too many ads
That was simply draining for the lads
Prior to getting on the plane to go
But we straight up failed to shine
Forget the what ifs, how’s and whys
So were Meullered by the plans of Joachim Loe.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Was there un-rest in the camp?
A loss of form by Frankie Lamps
Or a friction caused by JT and his mouth
Though I’m not privy to that circle
I find it really kinda hurtful
The way “Our Papers” churn these stories out.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Our Premier League is of the best
Top notch without question
Most football fans if pressed would so agree
But the simple fact is this
Not too many shining stars are English
Our best players here are brought from overseas.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 That seems a pretty lame excuse
When Joachim Loe’s side boasted youth
Who on the day had made us look so bad?
Our side looked simply second rate
To Germans who on another day
Might have added four more goals to what they had?

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Few of our stars go overseas
To try their luck in other leagues
So maybe like good wine they just don’t travel
Big fish in small ponds come to mind
Or would they have to toe the line
In strict regimes our lads might not know how to handle?

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 Us simply stepping on the field
Don’t mean a win is guaranteed
Despite the thoughts of pundits near and far
We’re still dreaming 1966
And it’s time we all move on from this
That’s history like yesterday’s debacle.

Unlike us fans at home depressed
Another game, a few weeks off and re-group
The French Press blames Les Blues malaise as ours
On too much money, player power
For French hopes disappearing down The Louvre.

8 Leave a comment on verse 8 0 We’re down and out and on the plane
And rightly so excuse is lame
In a week or two? Last night will be forgotten
So come tonight switch telly on
Watch where The Modern Game has gone
To a new dimension while our FA weren’t watching?

Awful, not good enough, no passion or commitment, and judging by the feeble excuses proferred to post match questions? Obviously not really that bothered by the result or their abysmal performance at the final whistle.
