Charlie George

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 I grew my hair long
Like Charlie George
Must have magical powers
Long hair like that
Like Samson
Like Jesus
So I let mine grow
And yet the magician’s art
For scoring goals still eluded me
I knew the body swerves
The feints to the left and right
The lob the chip the volley
Perfect skills
Goals always goals
Against the backyard wall
But they would sneak off
In the night hide themselves
On the day of the match
But still I let my hair grow long
And at least looked like
Charlie George.
