Cheap Red Whine

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Liverpool flowed like sweet claret
Rafa’s water boys turned into wine merchants
Drowned the champagne charlies
Drunk on success grown fat on words eaten
Apres Fergie garbled like an 8 year old
Choking on wine- gum gracelessly
The gripes of wrath corked.

Notes

Many years ago Kenny Dalglish famously commented that his son (then aged 8) made more sense than the inane comments uttered by Alex Ferguson postmatch.

Nought like being gracious in defeat. One of the many reasons Ferguson, despite his immense talent, will never be regarded as one of the immortals alongside managers like Shankly, Stein, Busby and Paisley.

Well in Redmen….great result.
