Christmas 1952.

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 It snowed heavy on that Christmas eve
Back in 1952
The dawn brought Christmas morning
And with it dreams came true.
Fot there on the chair
Beside my bed
A laced up football
Crimson red
A pair of boots
With laces white
I put them on
And tied them tight.
And a Stanley Mathews annual
Which I read by candle-light
Clutching my crimson red football
In my boots with laces white.
