Circus Clowns

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Like a band of clowns,
with painted frowns,
howled at in laughter.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 but with confidence confided,
a cog in the wheel added,
emotion is moved.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 With a Norse God’s hammer,
El capitan leads,
striking the anvil,
making good his deed.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Previously jeered,
now revered,
by way of a feint,
of a striking hand,
it now looks possible.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Spanish sword lunged,
parried into instinct’s eyes,
thrusting the blade upwards,
making the strike.

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 Empty unable to fuel anymore,
the running of tiredness,
retaliation awaited,
defence will not confess.

7 Leave a comment on verse 7 0 No time left,
taking two to the chest,
like Fi’ty Cent,
alive enough for the final test.

8 Leave a comment on verse 8 0 Local hero telling the accidental comic,
about the intentional comic of old.
Oh how sweetly it all comes around,
when past teaches the present,
and the circus finally goes round town.

9 Leave a comment on verse 9 0 “I am not here to learn English.”
