COMING UNSTUCK

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 The Toffees came to Carrow Road
Expecting a sweet win
Norwich started with sherbet fizz
Left with failure, wafer thin
Everton fired liquorice torpedoes
Norwich were holed and sunk
Defence like peanut brittle
Two goals down before Bovril drunk
The Canaries fought back
With a pair of bullseyes
We could almost taste success
But got no points, no prize
Who can save me from
Choking on my acid drops
Lessons from hard boiled lumps
For the jelly tots

Notes

Lost 2-3 at Carrow Road. Close but no goldfish.
Don’t want to be known as the team that play ‘nice’ football, nice guys
finish last.
