Consistency

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Crude challenges go unpunished
on the pitch;
neanderthal defenders
slicing into attackers,
injuring them but
somehow escaping the wrath of
the ref who seems to
embrace leniency until it comes to
nit picking and trivia,
chastising players by brandishing red and
yellow with gay abandon.

Notes

I know officials have a very difficult job, but they don’t help themselves by at times being ridiculously inconsistent. What about Atwell’s red card for Cahill’s admittedly mistimed but hardly malicious tackle. At Swindon David Ball was the victim of a horrible two footer, the Saints player getting away with a yellow from Mr Penn. Consistency please, referees!
