Could I Have Been A Contender Charlie?

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Harping on, then reliving
Every win and giant killing:
From fierce contests he fought in,
The Halcyon Fields where he battled in youth.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 A track suit sees his offspring
Really enjoy ‘just partaking’,
Then questions his very own take on,
Games even…. Dave and his slingshot would lose!

Notes

In response to the wonderful “Great Expectations” by David Ash.
Maybe we should just “Let The Children Play” as is suggested in the song by Carlos (Devadip) Santana?

Carefree…..braised in Celery.

Stay well, be lucky and keep smiling.

Peace.

Kev.
